     I think this article makes some very good points, and shows how much children and our generation uses and relies on technology.  It is said in the article that young children spend over 10 hours a week playing video games.  I agree with this fact because i personally easily play over 10 hours of video games.  I don't see a problem with it and I'm not addicted but I am constantly hearing from my parents that i shouldn't be wasting my time playing video games.  As kids, we have grown up with technology our whole lives so it is kind of like second nature to be able to use it for some people.  For some adults though, it is confusing and new because they hadn't had it by there side their whole lives. 

     Another big part of this article was the social media aspect of it.  Social media is a big part of kids lives because it is a way to communicate with friends.  I think that cyber-bullying might be a little problem with younger kids in junior-high school if there is a problem at all, but i don't think there is much of a problem in our community with cyber-bullying.  The article also states that some children and teenagers are addicted to social media websites which i don't think is completely accurate.  Addiction is defined as the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.  I really don't think people can actually be addicted to a website.  Maybe they are on it a lot but I don't think they are addicted.  

     One of the last parts of this article talked about the gaming addictions.  They talk a lot about addiction, but i really don't think it is addiction.  I just think it is unrealistic to play a game for an hour or less than an hour per day.  Once you get playing a game, most of the time you can't get much time done unless you play for a good amount of time.  I don't play video games a lot because i am addicted but because i think it is fun and it is something to do instead of sitting in my room and stare at my wall.  I think that the scientists studying all of these things need to play the games to see what its really like instead of analyzing and criticizing people about what they do and how much of it that they do.
